PHILADELPHIA – Loyola University Maryland women's rowing's varsity eight boat reached its grand final on Saturday, highlighting the Greyhounds' day on the Schuylkill River at the 2025 Kerr Cup.
The varsity eight rowed to a time of 7:52.57 in the morning's heats to finish second to Drexel in that race. The Greyhounds then came back with a finish of 8:12.67 for fifth in the grand final, beating Mercyhurst by more than 25 seconds.
The men's varsity eight was fifth in its head, finishing in 7:01.37, and the group then dropped almost five seconds off its time for a finish of 6:56.47 in the petite final.
Loyola's men's varsity four took fourth in its final, racing to a tie of 9:18.47, and the men's second varsity four was fifth in its heat in 8:43.82.
The Greyhounds' second varsity eight on the women's side rowed 9:07.76 for fourth in its heat, while Loyola's second varsity four was also fourth in heat racing in 10:53.52.
Loyola's women's varsity four took fifth in a heat in 10:51.33.
