QUAKERTOWN, Pa. – Loyola's men's and women's rowing teams combined to win three races on Saturday on Lake Nockamixon when the Greyhounds raced against Lehigh, Fairfield and Iona.
 
The Greyhounds' women's 1V8 defeated Lehigh with a time of 7:58.59 to the Mountain Hawks' 8:04.68, and that boat came back against Fairfield and Iona to take second in 8:18.61.
 
Loyola's men's varsity 1V8 rowed to a time of 7:00.46 in its second race of the day against Fairfield and Iona, winning by more than seven seconds over the second-place Stags. The Greyhounds 1V8 was second in a race against Lehigh in 6:44.16, less than a second behind the Mountain Hawks.
 
The men's 2V8 raced to a time of 9:45.98 for a win over Fairfield in its second race of the day.
 
In races against Lehigh, the Loyola men's 2V8 was third to a pair of Mountain Hawks' crews with a time of 7:43.08. The women's 2V8 took second in 8:54.54.
 
Loyola's women's V4 was second to Lehigh in 10:02.61, and the 2V4 took second in 10:49.11.
 
Against Fairfield and Iona, the women's 2V8 was second behind the Stags in 8:50.14. Loyola women's V4 too second in 10:06.39, and the 2V4 was also third in 11:19.93.
