BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland's Joe Hayburn was named the Patriot League Men's Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday, the third such honor he has received this season.
 
The junior won three individual events and was on a winning relay in the Greyhounds' Patriot League victory over Bucknell Friday afternoon.
 
He took first in the 100 and 200 backstrokes and the 100 butterfly, and he led off Loyola's 200 medley relay with a 21.44 split to lead the Greyhounds to the win.
 
Hayburn's time of 47.04 won the 100 backstroke by almost three seconds, and then he swam 1:44.64 for a victory in the 200 backstroke of nearly five seconds.
 
He picked up his third victory with a time of 48.38 in the butterfly.
 
The award is Hayburn's third of the season and sixth of his career.
 
Loyola will close out the home portion of its 2025-26 schedule on Friday, January 23, when it hosts Army West Point at 1 p.m.
