Seven Greyhounds Earn All-Patriot League Swimming & Diving Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Seven Loyola University Maryland swimmers were named to the All-Patriot League Team on Tuesday following their performances at the 2026 Patriot League Championships last weekend.
 
Haley Robinson earned a spot on the women's first team after her victory in the 50 freestyle, and Joe Hayburn was named to the men's first team after combining for four silver- and three bronze- medal finishes between individual and relay events.
 
Christine Datovech was named to the women's second team, while Brennan Coyle, Luke Dwyer, JD Moyer and Michael Venit were honored on the men's second team.
 
Robinson became the first woman in program history to win a Patriot League title in the 50 freestyle when she swam a personal-best time of 22.63 as the top qualifier in the preliminaries and then knocked another seven-hundredths of a second off that touch the wall first in the finals at 22.56. She also finishes fourth in the 100 freestyle, ninth in the 100 butterfly and anchored the women's 200 freestyle and medley relays to second- and third-place finishes, respectively.
 
Hayburn earned first-team recognition after picking up second-team honors in 2024 and 2025. This season, he led the Greyhounds in points at the Championships where he earned three individual silver medals and helped the Loyola relays to a second- and three third-place finishes. He was second individually in the 100 butterfly and the 100 and 200 backstrokes, and during the meet, he set school records in the 100 and 200 backstrokes, and the 100 butterfly and freestyle.
 
Datovech had a pair off third-place individual finishes in her first year with the Greyhounds, taking bronze in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly at the Patriot League Championships. She was also a member of four relays, helping the Greyhounds take second in the 200 freestyle and 200 medley.
 
Coyle was named to the second team for the second time in as many years after finishing fourth in the 100 breaststroke, sixth in the 100 freestyle and ninth in the 50 freestyle. He also stepped onto the medals stand four times with Loyola relays, earning silver with the 200 medley and bronzes with the 400 medley and 200 and 400 freestyles.
 
Dwyer is a first-time All-Patriot League honoree following an individual program that saw him take bronze in the 200 butterfly, seventh in the 100 butterfly and ninth in the 200 individual medley. He was also on the third-place 400 medley and swam the leadoff leg of the 800 freestyle relay that was sixth.
 
Venit picked up All-League recognition in his final season with the Greyhounds, finishing sixth in both the 200 breaststroke and the 200 individual medley and eighth in the 100 breaststroke.
 
Moyer was another first-time honoree for the Greyhounds. He took fourth in the 100 backstroke, seventh in the 200 bacsktroke and was 12th in the 200 butterfly.
