Loyola Univesrity Maryland golf will join host High Point and 10 other teams this week to play on one of the oldest stops on the PGA Tour at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Qubein Cup will be contested at the course on Monday and Tuesday, October 19-20, with 54 holes spread across the three days.
Sedgefield, which from 2008-2026 hosted the final stop on the PGA Tour before the Fed Ex Cup (most recently called the Wyndham Championship), was one of two hosts of the Greater Greensboro Open starting in 1938. Starting in August 2027, the Donald Ross design will host the GO by Raymond James, a Championship Series event.
Two weeks after tying for eighth at Maidstone Club and the Hamptons Intercollegaite, the Greyhounds will send the same six players to the course in Greensboro with one variation to the lineup. Eli Spaulding, Zach Berger, Matthew Simpson, Diego Neira and Liam Moloney will play in the scoring lineup, while Jack Geyer will play as Loyola's individual.
Play is scheduled to begin on Monday morning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Loyola will play with players from Longwood, UTSA and UNC Wilmington.
