GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Three Loyola University Maryland golfers finished in the top-20 of the 14th-annual Loyola Intercollegiate, and the Greyhounds took second as a team at the event in the Phoenix area.
The Greyhounds finished at 31-under 833 for the 54-hole tournament, three shots behind Richmond, which won for the second year in a row.
Denver finished third, four shots back of Loyola and three in front of fourth-place North Carolina State. Tennessee-Martin rounded out the top-five of the 20-team field.
Liam Moloney shot 4-under 68 in Tuesday's final round to finish in a tie for 17th at 6-under. He was the third different Loyola golfer to lead the Greyhounds in a round during the week.
Gustavo Rangel had the best overall finish for Loyola, tying for 10th at 9-under overall, following a final round 69.
Spaulding matched Moloney's 54-hole total at 6-under, shooting 1-over 73 on Tuesday.
Jackson Roman tied for 25th with
Lorenzo Sanz, who was playing as an individual, at 3-under.
Roman and Sanz both moved up 20 spots on the individual leaderboard Tuesday with rounds of 3-under 69.
Diego Neira rounded out the Greyhounds scoring in the final round, shooting 1-under 71 to finish the tournament tied for 38th at 1-under.
Loyola will head west again for its next tournament when it will play at the University of Arkansas' Cabo Collegiate March 1-3 in Los Cabos, Mexico.
