BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland's Gustavo Rangel was named the Patriot League Golfer of the Week on Wednesday after helping the Greyhounds finish second in their first tournament of the calendar year.
 
The senior finished tied for 10th at the 14th-annual Loyola Intercollegiate, shooting a team-best 9-under 207 in the 54-hole event.
 
He opened the event at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona, with a 1-under par 71 on Sunday and followed by shooting 5-under 67 Monday, tying for the third-best round of the day.
 
Rangel wrapped up his tournament with just one bogey in his final round to shoot 3-under 69 on Monday.
 
The Greyhounds will be back in action at the University of Arkansas' Cabo Collegiate next month, playing at the Twin Dolphin Club in Los Cabos, Mexico, March 1-3.
