TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Loyola University Maryland finished the second round and moved up five spots in the team race from where play was halted on Sunday and is ninth out of 21 teams at Florida State's Seminole Intercollegiate.
Players went back out to the course late Monday afternoon at Seminole Legacy Golf Club and finished the second round that was paused due to darkness on Sunday evening.
The tournament was scheduled to be a three-day event with 18 holes on each, but because of bad weather that moved from the Florida Panhandle on Monday morning and early afternoon, teams completed as many holes as they could on the first day.
Eli Spaulding had three birdies on his last three holes Sunday and he added another on the course's eighth hole Monday to finish his second round at 1-under 71. He is tied for 10th individually at even-par 144 through 36 holes.
Lorenzo Sanz shot 2-over 74 on the 7,505-yard, par-72 course in the second round, the Greyhounds' second-best score of the round. He is tied for 74th overall.
Diego Neira moved into a tie for 39th at the tournament after shooting 3-over 75 in the second round, his second round in a row with that score.
Jack Geyer and
