The Greyhounds (12-15, 8-8 Patriot League) controlled the game for more than 33 minutes and leaned on a balanced effort that featured five players with nine or more points. Loyola shot 47.1% from the field and built a lead that grew as large as 16 in the fourth quarter.

A 9-2 burst capped by a Sims putback stretched the margin to 11 late in the half, and Loyola carried a 29-20 advantage into the break.

Colgate (6-21, 2-14) trimmed the deficit to five early in the third quarter, but Loyola answered with a decisive 10-0 run. Bass hit back-to-back 3-pointers during the surge, and Amorich converted a pair of free throws to push the lead to 41-28. Therien's layup in the closing seconds of the third made it 47-35 entering the final period.

The Raiders never got closer than eight in the fourth. Loyola dominated in the paint, outscoring Colgate 34-18 inside, and finished with 18 assists on 24 made field goals. Kailey Kalet finished with five assists, while Sims, Therien, and Olivia Shaughnessy each had three assists.
