BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland's
Eli Spaulding was named the Patriot League Men's Golf Player of the Week on Wednesday after tying for seventh at the Seminole Intercollegiate in a field of 112 players.
Spaulding led the Greyhounds to a ninth-place finish in the 21-team field at Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Florida.
He finished his three rounds each within a stroke of par on the 7,505-yard course at the tournament hosted by Florida State.
Spaulding opened his tournament by shooting 1-over 73 on Sunday morning, and he got back to even for the event by the end of the second.
The sophomore from Maine played the second 18 holes, which were split over Sunday and Monday, at 1-under 71 to move into the top-10 by the end of the round.
He then finished by shooting even-par 72 in Tuesday's second round to tie for seventh overall.
