2023 (Junior): Made 16 starts and played in all 17 games for the Greyhounds… Finished fifth on the team with 27 points, tied for third with 15 assists and tied for fifth with 12 goals… Opened the year with a pair of three-point games in wins over Maryland and Johns Hopkins, scoring once and assisting on two versus the terrapins and then scoring twice with an assist against the Blue Jays… Scored twice and had two assists against Lafayette… Posted two goals and an assist at Bucknell… Had a goal and an assist against both Navy and at Boston University… Tallied two assists in the Patriot League Quarterfinal versus Navy… Scored and assisted on a goal against Boston University in the semifinal and then had a goal versus Army West Point in the title game.

2022 (Sophomore): Started all 16 games in the midfield for Loyola and was named to the All-Patriot League Second Team after finishing the year with 16 goals and 15 assists… Had a goal in four straight games, scoring once each against Johns Hopkins, Rutgers, Towson and at Lafayette… Added assists against Rutgers and Towson… Posted a to-date career-high six points with three goals and three assists against Bucknell and then came back a week later with three goals and an assist versus Army West Point… Scored once and had two assists at Navy… Scored goals against Georgetown and Lehigh and had a goal and an assist at Colgate… Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2021 (Freshman): Had one of the better seasons for first-year midfielders nationally, seeing action in 15 games and making five starts for the Greyhounds… Scored six goals and assisted on eight with nine of his 14 points coming in the season’s last five games… Earned the Patriot League’s first two Rookie of the Week honors after opening his career with an assist at Richmond and then scoring once and assisting on another goal versus Virginia… Had a goal against Utah, too… Assisted on a goal versus Georgetown and then had a goal and an assist in the Patriot League Quarterfinals against Navy… Assisted on a goal and had two ground balls versus Army West Point in the Patriot League Semifinal… Scored twice and had an assist on three shots at Denver in the NCAA First Round… Had a goal and an assist in the game versus Duke in the NCAA Quarterfinal.

Before Loyola: Graduated from St. Paul’s School for Boys where he played as a junior and senior… Competed at Gerstell Academy as a freshman and sophomore… As a junior in 2019, set a St. Paul’s record with 53 points, totaling 38 goals to go with 15 assists and 43 ground balls… Had 94 points on 40 goals and 54 assists with 120 ground balls in his sophomore season of 2018 at Gerstell… Compiled 56 points with 21 goals, 35 assists and 92 ground balls as a freshman… Earned All-MIAA B Conference honors in 2017 and 2018… Received the Andrew Keltz Cup in 2019 as St. Paul’s top midfielder… Earend the Louis D. Clark Loyalty Award in 2020 as the student-athlete at St. Paul’s who exhibited constant enthusiasm and a positive attitude that inspired his teammates to perform at a high level… As a freshman, helped Gerstell win a school-record 20 games and reach the MIAA B Conference Championship Game before leading the team to its first-ever B Conference crown in 2018… Helped St. Paul’s average a school-record 13.6 caused turnovers per game and garner its first MIAA A Conference playoff bid in three years during the 2019 season… Was an All-MIAA B Conference soccer player at Gerstell… Averaged 8.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game for St. Paul’s basketball in 2020 when he was a team captain and earned All-Tournament honors at the 2020 Laker Invitational… Played club lacrosse for Looney’s 2020 Orange from 2015-2020.
 
Personal: Son of Erin and Rudy Higgins… Has two brothers, Ben and Jake… Ben was a lacrosse player at Limestone College where he helped the Saints win two NCAA Division II titles… Jake will be a senior at the University of Maryland in 2021 after spending his first three years at Cleveland State University… Member of the National Honor Society and the student government at St. Paul’s.
