Volleyball Falls to Towson, 3-0

Towson, Md. - The Loyola volleyball team fell to Towson by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday night at the Towson Center. Game scores were 30-17, 30-22 and 30-14. With the loss, Loyola falls to 4-12 while Towson improves to 12-6 overall.

Towson's Liz Goubeaux contributed a match-high six blocks while the Tigers' M.C. Coghlan tallied a match-high 38 assists to go with five service aces and 3 blocks for the Tigers.

Becky Corb led the Greyhounds with 11 kills while Jamie Arndt had five kills, eight digs, and two blocks. Freshman MAAC Rookie of the Week Christina Greenup added five kills and two digs. Krystal Biegaj posted 22 assists for Loyola.

The Greyhounds return to action on Saturday, October 9 when they welcome St. Francis (Pa.) to Reitz Arena at 12 noon.
