Newark, Del. - Running in its final meet before its inaugural Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women's Indoor Track Championships, Loyola took seventh place and produced some very nice individual finishes at the University of Delaware's Thomson Invitational this past weekend.

Andrea Rovegno led the way with her second place finish in the 3,000-meter run. The star sophomore crossed the finish line at 10:14.90, which was a new personal record by an astounding 18 seconds.

Senior Jackie Truncellito also took a silver as she ran the 5,000-meter run in a time of 18:53.30.

Freshman Bethany Gentry ran a career best time of 5:46.76 in the mile to take 11th place in that event.

The Greyhound distance corps proved strong in relay competition as well in pacing themselves to a third-place finish in the Distance Medley Relay. Truncellito was the lead leg of the relay while Colleen Depman raced second, Sarah Spencer raced third, and Andrea Rovegno took on the anchor role en route to a time of 13:40.10.

Lauren Anderson continued to impress in the field as for the second straight week she jumped a personal best in the Long Jump -- this time reaching the 14' 6 1/2"-plateau.
