Feb. 6, 2005

Princess Anne, Md. - Loyola's women's track team produced some excellent performances at the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore Invitational on Saturday afternoon, highlighted by Andrea Rovegno winning the mile run.

Rovegno finished the 1600-meter race in a time of 5:11.13 while Sarah Spencer took third in the mile at 5:30.42. Bethany Gentry also clocked a personal best in the mile.

Jacke Truncellito posted a third place finish in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:00.13 while Maia Albano ran a personal best in the 60-meter dash.

"We had many girls run or come close to running personal bests this afternoon," said Head Coach Julie Culley. "We are looking stronger and sharper. We still have a lot of work to do, but the team is making solid progress."
