Volleyball Falls to Navy

Annapolis, Md. - The Loyola College volleyball team fell to Navy 3-0 Tuesday night in Macdonough Hall. Navy won by scores of 30-24, 30-20 and 30-24. The Greyhounds fall to 6-18 on the season while the Midshipmen improve to 9-13.

The Loyola attack was led by freshman Karlee Woodward's 18 kills and .600 hitting percentage. Freshman setter Chrissey Cruz was credited with 27 assists. Cruz and senior Blair Snyder each tallied seven digs to lead the team.

For Navy, Jessie Simms tallied 12 kills and Rachel Dougherty added 10. Setter Kim Koss recorded 39 assists. Sims led the team in digs with 13. Megan Boyd led in blocks with three solo blocks and a block assist.

The Greyhounds remain on the road and return to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action by traveling to Marist on Saturday, October 21 and Siena on Sunday, October 22.
