Gailius, Reeves, Sarby Earn MAAC Academic Honors

EDISON, N.J. - Three Loyola University Maryland sophomore volleyball players were named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic Team last weekend at the conference championships.

Vanessa Gailius, Samantha Reeves and Nicole Sarby were honored by the league for their academic achievements.

Gailius, a libero from Waban, Mass., has a 3.77 grade point average in psychology. She played in three matches this season in the back row.

Reeves, an outside hitter from Fairfax, Va., holds a 3.60 grade point average as a business administration major. She saw time in eight matches and 12 sets, posting six digs.

Sarby, an outside hitter from Naperville, Ill., is a 3.40 student in business marketing. She started seven matches and played in 13, logging 34 kills and 20 digs.
