Track & Field Competes At Princeton, Widener

The Loyola University Maryland Track & Field team competed at a pair of meets this weekend, taking part in competitions at Widener and Princeton.

Two Loyola runners, Victoria Szczawinski and Stephanie Gibney, ran the 3000-meter steeple chase at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational. Szczawinski took second in her heat, running 10:54.36, while Gibney placed 14th in the same race, clocking a time of 11:26.07.

Gabrielle Cocco also ran at the Princeton meet, finishing the 1,500 meters in 4:50.99.

At the Widener Invitational, Samantha Westley came back from an earlier injury to place sixth in the 100 meter high hurdles (16.15). She also competed in the 100-meter dash, running 13.74.

Courtney Marro recorded a pair of personal-bests at the meet, clocking a time of 16.68 in the 100m high hurdles and 27.17 in the 200 meters.

Megan Trainer was 10th in the hammer throw with a toss of 90'6".
