LANDOVER, Md. - The Loyola University Maryland women's track and field team competed at the Maryland Invitational hosted by the University of Maryland on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Kelly Maguire led the Greyhounds' individual efforts, finishing just outside the top 10 in the 800m race. The White Plains, New York native finished in 2:25.16, while fellow classmate and senior Kellyanne Bondulich took 18th in 2:27.57.

Senior Anna Bosse finished 19th in the mile with a time of 5:29.83.

In the 600m, a trio of Greyhounds led by rookie Julianne Groshon finished 22nd - 24th. Groshon crossed the tape in 1:52.08, while freshman Daniella Joyce (1:54.22) and sophomore Caitlyn McGuinness (1:56.46) finished 23rd and 24th, respectively.

Senior Charlotte Criqui and freshman Emma Dunleavy finished among the top-20 competitors in the 400m dash. Criqui took 13th in 1:02.58 and Dunleavy was 14th in 1:02.71. Teammate Jane Butler also ran in the event, finishing 26th (1:05.62).

Sophomore Jessa Laspesa was 24th in the 300 meters with a time of 44.14. She holds the school record set last season with a time of 43.94. Classmate Claire Scavone set a personal record in the same event, crossing the finish line in 44.34.

Loyola's 4x400m squad of Laspesa, Criqui, Eilis McGovern and Dunleavy finished ahead of a pair of Patriot League quartets from Navy. The Greyhounds took 12th and recorded a time of 4:07.56.

Off the track, freshman Lauren Waldeck set a mark of 1.53m in the high jump, good enough for 13th overall.

The Greyhounds are back in action on Friday, Jan. 30th, and Saturday, Jan. 31st, for the Armory Invitational and John Covert Classic.
