MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Canisius University held Loyola University Maryland to .019 hitting percentage on Sunday afternoon, and the Griffins dealt the Greyhounds a 25-21, 25-14, 25-17, setback in the final match of the Robert Morris Invitational.

Canisius swung at just a .179 clip, a number that dipped significantly because of Loyola's nine total blocks on the afternoon, but Loyola committed 25 errors on attacks.

The Greyhounds, which finished the tournament with a 0-3 record after four-set losses to UMBC and Robert Morris on Saturday, posted an early season-high with the nine blocks.

Haley Puddy registered four, one solo and three assisted, a team-best that was matched by Corri Waters. Molly Cichosz was in on three of the blocks, while Molly Werts and Danielle Hillman were part of two each.

Stacey Kazalas led the Greyhounds with 11 kills, and Puddy recorded eight.

Rachel Kline had 13 kills for Canisius (1-3), and Katlyn Tyler posted 10.

Loyola plays its home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 1, when it welcomes Howard University at 7 p.m. to Reitz Arena. Admission is free for all spectators.
