Loyola University Maryland wraps up an eight-match homestand with its final regular-season home matches on Saturday and Sunday, October 27-28.
The Greyhounds host the top two teams in the Patriot League standings, American University (Saturday, 7 p.m.) and the U.S. Naval Academy (Sunday, 2 p.m.) in Reitz Arena.
Prior to Sunday's match, the Greyhounds will celebrate Senior Day by honors their three members of the Class of 2019: Alisah Cash, Haley Puddy and Molly Werts.

Crossing A Plateau

In the fourth set of last Sunday's match against Lehigh University, Ann Ernst became the fourth Loyola player to reach 1,000 career kills since the NCAA went to 25-point rally scoring in 2008.
Over her last nine matches, dating back to the Howard contest on September 25, Ernst has put away 149 kills for an average of 4.03 per set. She is also averaging 3.38 digs during that frame.
She leads the Patriot League in kills per set this season (3.61), and her .204 hitting percentage is almost 60 points higher than her .148 career mark.

Three Hitters At The Top

Loyola is the only team to have three hitters rank in the top-10 of the Patriot League in kills per set during conference matches. Ann Ernst ranks second with 3.95, while Abby Hamilton (7th, 3.08) and Haley Puddy (10th, 2.65) also have spots in the rankings. American and Colgate University are the only other teams with two in the top-10.

Dig It

On October 6, Forsythe broke her own school, single-match record with 42 digs against Holy Cross, one more than the 41 she had earlier this season against Towson. Last weekend, against Lafayette College and Lehigh, Forsythe continued her great defensive play and is now averaging 6.19 digs per set. She is in NCAA Division I in digs (557) and digs per set.
With eight matches remaining in the regular-season, Forsythe is on-pace for 702 digs this season, a total that would be a Loyola and Patriot League record. Forsythe's current total of 557 digs are second in Loyola history behind Brittany Born's 2007 total of 626, and they are fifth in Patriot League history.
