Evan Brown fired a 4-under 68 through today's final round of the fall season at the East Bay Deli Classic at Kiawah, while junior
Preston Ball climbed up the leaderboard and led the Loyola University Maryland golf team with a 35th place finish overall.
Ball turned in a 2-over 74 today to finish the three rounds at 8-over 224, while
Brandon Berry, Matthew Malits and Brown also climbed up the leaderboard with their play today. Berry improved 15 spots with an even 72 to finish tied for 51st overall at 11-over 227, while Malits moved up six and into a tie for 89th. He shot a 75 today to finish at 19-over 235.
Brown climbed 16 spots and finished tied for 97th at 239.
Sophomore
Brett Inserra finished 104th with a 241 after shooting an 84 today.
As a team, Loyola moved up one spot on the leaderboard and finished 18th with a three-round score of 47-over 911.
Memphis's Isaiah Jackson and College of Charleston's Christian Baliker shared medalist honors with a pair of 7-under 209s.
No. 44 College of Charleston won the tournament with a 3-under 861, while Memphis was second with an even 864 and Augusta was third at 13-over 877.
Loyola will now break for exams and the holiday before beginning its spring season in Arizona as the Greyhounds will host the Loyola Intercollegiate February 23-25.
