BALTIMORE – Loyola University Maryland women's soccer, one of three remaining unbeaten teams in Patriot League play this season, travels to Army West Point for a conference matchup at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

  • Paige Sim made four saves in goal, highlighting a strong defensive effort from the entire backline in a 0-0 draw for Loyola at defending Patriot League champions Boston University last Saturday.
  • The Greyhounds earned their first result since 2014 against the Terriers (5-6-2, 2-1-1 PL), who have won four of the last six Patriot League titles overall.
  • Sim recorded her second clean sheet of the season while improving to 4-0-2 with a 0.59 GAA and .840 save percentage.

  • The Black Knights tied Holy Cross (1-1) to open league play before suffering consecutive 1-0 home losses to Navy and Boston U.
  • Freshman Alyssa Carfagno (5 G, 1 A) is ranked second in the conference in goals, and she leads the Patriot League with three game-winning strikes.
  • Army was projected to finish fifth out of 10 schools in the 2019 Patriot League preseason poll. The Black Knights advanced to the Patriot League semifinals last season, falling 3-0 to eventual champions BU.
Hoefs, Sim Take Home Patriot League Weekly Honors
  • Loyola received multiple Patriot League Player of the Week honorees for a second time this season on Monday, as Hannah Hoefs was named Midfielder of the Week while Paige Sim took home Goalkeeper of the Week accolades.
  • Hoefs earned her third award of the season and the fourth overall in her collegiate career after totaling a goal and an assist in last Wednesday's 3-1 win over American. The 3-point game was her third of 2019.
  • Sim earned her first weekly honor after going 1-0-1 with a 0.45 GAA, a .833 save percentage and Saturday's clean sheet at BU. Both of her shutouts in 2019 have come against conference opponents.

  • The Greyhounds are 4-1-2 in their last seven games overall since starting the season with a 1-4 record.
