BALTIMORE –
Courtney Wallace was the only Loyola University Maryland women's track and field competitor to hit the track Friday at the Morgan State Legacy Meet, and she made the appearance count.
Â
The senior won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:52.90, easily outdistancing Towson University's Nicole Bezborodko who was second in 12:22.73.
Â
Wallace led throughout the race and had an eight-second edge by the end of the fourth lap.
Â
A full slate of Loyola runners will compete Saturday at the event, while a limited group of Greyhounds will head to New Jersey for Princeton University's Larry Ellis Invitational.
