CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Three Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse players were named weekly award winners by the Patriot League on Monday as Pat Spencer (Offensive Player), Jacob Stover (Goalkeeper) and Cam Wyers (Defensive Player) were honored following the Greyhounds' 15-9 defeat of then-No. 14 Lehigh University on Saturday.

Spencer senior became the first player in school history, and the first NCAA Division I player since 2015, to score 10 or more points in back-to-back games, totaling 11 against the Mountain Hawks with five goals and six assists. He moved into third place in NCAA career assists, passing Brown University's Darren Lowe (1989-92, 205) and Cornell University's Rob Pannell (2009-13, 204) in the process. He also tied the U.S. Air Force Academy's Joe Vasta (1983-86) for career points with 343.
 
Spencer had three goals and three assists in the game's first 20 minutes as Loyola went ahead 9-0 in the early-going. Spencer then had two second-quarter goals and scored his final in the third. All five of his goals were unassisted.
 
Stover excelled Saturday in the Greyhounds win, posting 15 saves while allowing only nine goals (.625), the final three coming after Loyola was up 15-6. Stover backstopped the Greyhounds as they held Lehigh scoreless for the first 21 minutes, 34 seconds of the game, making six first-half saves before stopping nine shots in the second.
 
He has 11-straight games with 10 or more saves for the Greyhounds.
 
Wyers had a terrific day in one-on-one defense Saturday, marking Lehigh's Lucas Spence. He held the Mountain Hawks' leader in points (19 goals, 15 assists, 34 points entering game) to only one assist in six-versus-six offense (Spence had an assist on extra-man).
 
Wyers held Spence without a goal for just the second time in his last 20 games played, and he also forced two turnovers by the Lehigh senior.
 
Spencer's award is the 11^th of his career, the most by any Patriot League player in history, and his fifth of the season, also tied for most in one year in the conference. Stover picked up his second-straight fourth of the season and ninth of his career, tying Lehigh's Matt Poillon (2011-14) for the most in goalkeeper history. Only a freshman, Wyers earned his second defensive award this season.
 
Loyola is back in action on Tuesday night when it hosts Georgetown University in a 7 p.m. game that will air nationally on CBS Sports Network.
