CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Last weekend, Loyola University Maryland's
Senna Ohlsson captured her second Patriot League individual title of the year and on Wednesday, she picked up her second Academic All-Patriot League nod since January.
Â
The sophomore won the indoor 800-meter title in February, and she duplicated the feat at the outdoor championships, posting a victory Saturday in a time of 2:08.69. She also was a part of the Greyhounds' 4x800-meter relay that smashed a school record on Friday night and finished second at the Patriot League Championships.
Â
In the classroom, Ohlsson has earned Loyola Dean's List honors all three semesters she has been at the school and finished the fall with a cumulative 3.706 grade-point average as a biology and English major.
Â
She is the first Loyola runner to earn All-Patriot League honors on the track, picking up the recognition in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
Â
Ohlsson's academic award is the third in outdoor track and field. She joins Marissa Buccellato (2014) and
Christa Sidoti (2017) as a recipient.
