LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Loyola University Maryland volleyball team was one of 191 teams nationwide to earn the American Volleyball Coaches Association Community Voting Award, the organization recently announced.
 
One-hundred percent of eligible Loyola volleyball student-athletes and staff voted in the November 2020 election to earn the award for the Greyhounds.
 
The 191 teams encompass all collegiate men's and women's divisions and club teams, as well. Loyola was one of 96 NCAA Division I teams to receive the award.
 
"Our goal as leaders of young people is to model responsible behavior and to instill good habits," said AVCA Executive Director Kathy DeBoer. "Whether it's the court, the classroom, or the voting booth, coaches matter in the lives of their players. This award is another way to highlight that fact."
