BALTIMORE – Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse welcomed its 12 newcomers to the program today as the Greyhounds started classes for the 2020-21 academic year.
Twelve freshmen, representing eight states and one Canadian province, have joined the program for the upcoming season:

Before Loyola: Graduated from Sacred Heart School in Atherton, California, where he earned five letters between football and lacrosse… Earned a spot on the 2018 and 2019 All-West Catholic Athletic League First Team in both 2018 and 2019… Was the 2020 team's defensive most valuable player and a team captain… Helped the team win the 2017 Peninsula Athletic League title and the 2018 West Catholic Athletic League crown.

Before Loyola: Graduated from St. Paul's School for Boys where he played as a junior and senior… Competed at Gerstell Academy as a freshman and sophomore… As a junior in 2019, set a St. Paul's record with 53 points, totaling 38 goals to go with 15 assists and 43 ground balls… Had 94 points on 40 goals and 54 assists with 120 ground balls in his sophomore season of 2018 at Gerstell… Compiled 56 points with 21 goals, 35 assists and 92 ground balls as a freshman… Earned All-MIAA B Conference honors in 2017 and 2018… Received the Andrew Keltz Cup in 2019 as St. Paul's top midfielder… Earend the Louis D. Before Loyola: Graduated from West Genesee High School in Camillus, New York, where he was a four-year letterwinner in lacrosse… Starting goalkeeper who made more than 250 saves and had a .610 saves percentage in 2019 as a junior… Stopped 205 shots and had a .640 saves percentage in 2018 and had a .570 mark in 2017… Earned All-League First Team honors three times and was All-Central New York twice… Was the youngest starting goalkeeper in West Genesee's storied history… Finished second all-time at the school in saves and would likely have set the mark, missing it by 45, if not for the cancellation of the 2020 season… Named All-State Second Team in 2019… Led West Genesee to three section championship appearances, a pair of league titles and a state final game… Won more than 50 career games… Was a three-time box lacrosse league champion and three-time Most Valuable Player… Played club for Sweetlax's Upstate and National teams… Two-time Sweetlax Invitational All-Star and was on the Sweetlax National Team that was ranked in the top-5 nationally in the 2020 age group.
