LEONIA, N.J. – Loyola University Maryland's rowing programs wrapped up their fall schedule on Sunday, with the Greyhounds recording four second-place finishes at the NYRA Invitational hosted by Manhattan College.

Both women's eight boats finished as the runner-up in 'B' finals. The 1V8 crew of Jenna Barrett, Emily Hunt, Theresa Martin, Erin Megill, Hannah Seyffert, Ava Delaney, Olivia Welch, Lindsey Bonavita and coxswain Sarah Hofstetter beat out host Manhattan by over five seconds, while the 2V8 boat of Megan Gallucci, Grace Aberle, Ivy Gallagher, Katie Krueger, Samantha Walsh, Juliana Merlino, Claire Volz, Grace Gola and coxswain Delaney Gibbons beat out both Manhattan and Patriot League rivals Lehigh in their final race.

Loyola's women's varsity four boat of Ashira Thompson, Maura Budd, Holly Hanscom, Kristine Jones and coxswain Kylie Doyle also placed second, as their time of 8:24.50 was well ahead of both UConn (8:35.10) and Manhattan (9:11.23).

The final second-place showing was recorded by the men's varsity four, as David Costa, Ben Sala, Salvri Manalansan, Keaton Teeft and coxswain Joey Sigmund's time of 7:59.27 just edged out Villanova's finish of 8:00.75.

"Today confirms our upward trajectory," head coach Megan Patrick said. "Getting on the upside of some races and significantly cutting the margin in others. We're excited to begin winter training on the back of today's successes and strive for the next level by spring."
