LEWISBURG, Pa. – Abigail Potticary and
Kate Ragone ran personal bests in the 5,000 meters Sunday evening as Loyola University Maryland competed in a distance carnival at Bucknell University with other Patriot League schools.
Potticary raced in her first collegiate 5,000 on the track, running 18:22.65 to finish 13
th, while Ragone shaved almost 10 seconds off her previous best with a 16
th-place finish in 18:45.89.
Five men's cross country runners competed in the men's version of the race, led by Nathan Galloway who turned in a 15
th-place finish in 15:21.64. Ethan Ginyard and Jake Fowler ran an outdoor track personal bests of 15:58.91 and 16:09.17 to finish 19
th and 20
th, respectively.
Connor Rebele and Camden Spring ran within a second of each other, crossing the line in 22
nd (16:12.97) and 23
rd (16:13.18), while Tyler Vega was right behind in 16:24.86 to take 25
th.
