Kenny, Koller Reach Two Finals, Two Set Records At Patriot League Track & Field Championships' First Day

Courtney Kenny and Rachel Koller both qualified for the finals in two events at the Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, and Kathleen Shepherd and Koller set school records as the Loyola University Maryland women's track and field team competed at the first day of the event hosted by the U.S. Military Academy.

Kenny will compete in the finals of the 200 and 400 meters on Saturday, while Koller will race in the 100 and 200 meter finals.

Koller broke her own school record in the 100, running 12.25 to eclipse the time of 12.35 she ran last weekend at the Covert Classic. She later turned in a wind-aided time of 24.96 in the 200, and she will be seeded third in the 100, fourth in the 200.

Shepherd also broke a record that she had previously set, running a wind-legal time of 14.56 in the 100-meter hurdles, improving on the time of 14.67 she ran at the Johns Hopkins/Loyola Invitational earlier this month. She will be the No. 7 seed in the event's final on Saturday.

Kenny ran 57.06 in the 400 meters, her top time this season and the No. 9 time in school history, to earn the No. 4 seed in tomorrow's final. Later, she ran 25.79 in the 200 meters to win her heat; she will be the No. 8 seed in the final as the other three finals had winds that significantly aided times.

Loyola's 4x800-meter relay team was the lone final of Friday. The Greyhounds' quartet of Jordyn Pugh, Olivia Malley, Grayce Heinemann and Carly Spinnler took fourth in 9:20.73.

Stephanie Tracy earned a spot in tomorrow's 400-meter final, too, running 57.43 to post the No. 7 time on Friday.

Senna Ohlsson ran her first 800 meters of the year Friday, winning her heat by more than two seconds and easing into the final with the No. 4 overall time of 2:17.08.

Eve Schoenberg finished third in her heat and fifth overall in the 400-meter hurdles qualifying, running 63.77 to earn a spot in Saturday's final.

Abby Potticary and Kate Ragone were 14th and 18th overall in the 1,500 meters, running 4:50.31 and 4:52.53, respectively. Jessica Boos and Rhoda Miller also competed in the 400 meters, finishing 14th and 15th in 62.11 and 62.16.

Megan McCusker (68.87) and Taylor McHugh (70.23) were 13th and 14th overall in 400 hurdles qualifying.

Saturday's finals will start at 1:30 p.m. with coverage throughout the day on ESPN+.
