SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Loyola University Maryland's women's track and field set both a relay and an individual record on Saturday as the Greyhounds competed at the ECAC Championships.
Ohlsson bettered her school best in the 800 meters, running 2:05.84 to finish third in the race. She ran 60.18 in the first 400 meters before splitting 65.67 in the second. Notably, the time moves her into solid position to qualify for the NCAA East Regional Championships.
She topped the time of 2:06.05 that she ran during the 2020 Swedish National Championships as the previous school standard.
The Greyhounds' 4x100-meter relay team of
Courtney Kenny,
Rachel Koller,
Kathleen Shepherd and
Stephanie Tracy also set a record Saturday, running 48.32 seconds to finish seventh. The quartet beat the previous record of 48.59 set in 2019.
Kathleen Shepherd was 13
th in the 100-meter hurdles finishing in 14.99.
Carly Spinnler was 24
th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:19.12.
