BALTIMORE – The 4x400-meter relay team won its event, while
Stephanie Tracy and
Olivia Malley finished second in the 400 and 800 meters, respectively, as the Loyola University Maryland women's track and field team's highest finishes at the 2022 Loyola/Johns Hopkins Invitational.
Malley,
Taylor McHugh,
Ainsley Jodlbauer and Tracy won the final track event of the day for the women, running 3:57.76.
Tracy took her second in the 400 meters with a season-best time of 58.05 seconds, while Malley became the fourth-fastest 800-meter runner in school history, running 2:14.58.
Malley was one of two Greyhounds to finish in the top-10 of the 800 as Carly Spinner was close behind in fourth at 2:18.50.
Abby Potticary,
Kate Ragone and
Grayce Heinemann all finished in the top eight of the 1,500 meters with Potticary's 4:46.06 leading the way in fourth place. Ragone was less than a second back in seventh (4:46.93), while Heinemann took eighth in 4:47.42.
Taylor McHugh and
Megan McCusker also turned in top-eight finishes for the Greyhounds with McHugh taking sixth in the 400-meter hurdles (68.08) with McCusker less than a second behind in eighth (68.76).
Loyola's 4x100-meter relay team of
Rhoda Miller,
Ava Dunn, Tracy and McHugh took fourth in 49.18.
Sammie Spargo had a collegiate-best time of 11:51.21 to finish eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Jessica Boos and
Madelyn Ricard led the Greyhounds in the 100 meters in 20
th (13.08) and 22
nd (13.24), respectively, while Dunn and Jodlbauer were 26
th (26.63) and 35
th (27.33) in the 200 meters.
Catie O'Hehir was ninth in the 5,000 meters to open Saturday's meet, running 18:27.83, while
Kasey Boag was 15
th in 19:28.22.
Several members of the Loyola men's cross country team ran in the meet, as well.
Nathan Galloway took sixth in the 5,000 meters (15:23.74), while Evan Allander and Camden Spring were 11
th (15:39.64) and 12
th (15:41.57), respectively.
Dillon Harding took eighth in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase (9:58.02). Tyler Vega led the Loyola men in the 1,500 meters, running 4:08.67 while Connor Rebele was 31
st in 4:14.28.
