BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland women's track and field had its final regular-season outing on Saturday as the Greyhounds prepared for next weekend's Patriot League Championships by running at the Carol and John Covert Classic.
The Greyhounds will begin the Patriot League meet on Friday, May 6, at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The competition runs through Saturday.
Olivia Malley and
Eve Schoenberg had the top individual finishes for Loyola on Saturday, taking third in their respective races, while
Lily Angluin had a fourth-place run.
Malley was third in the 800 meters, running 2:15.26, while
Carly Spinnler was sixth in 2:17.31 in the race.
Schoenberg clocked 67.59 in the 400-meter hurdles to take her third with
Megan McCusker running 12
th in the event in 72.76.
Angluin opened the meet with a fourth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, running 11:40.89;
Sammie Spargo was seventh in the same event in 11:54.93.
Loyola's 4x100-meter relay team –
Stephanie Tracy,
Ava Dunn,
Taylor McHugh and
Jessica Boos – ran third in the event, finishing in 49.26.
Tracy had top-10 finishes in two sprinting events, individually, taking seventh in the 200 meters (25.75) and eighth in the 100 meters (12.88). Boos was a spot back in the shorter distance, running 13.02, while McHugh ran eighth in the 200 in 25.88.
Ainsley Jodlbauer finished eighth in the 400 meters in 61.52 with
Caroline O'Connell finishing 13
th in the event (65.29).
Kylie Maddalena was eighth in the 5,000 meters (20:07.78).
Maeve Lowther took 11
th in the 1,500 meters in 4:56.95, and
Marissa Branham was 18
th in 5:09.74.
