PHILADELPHIA – Loyola University Maryland's women's track and field team posted a number of top-10 finishes Friday evening as the Greyhounds ran at the Temple Invitational.
Olivia Malley and
Carly Spinnler finished third and fourth, respectively, while
Ainsley Jodlbauer too seventh in the 400 meters, giving the Greyhounds a trio in the top-10 of the race.
Malley finished in 58.08, followed by Spinnler's 59.37, while Jodlbauer came around the track in 62.54.
Grayce Heinemann had the highest individual finish of the day for Loyola, claiming second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:21.19 in front of
Rachel Arwood's seventh-place finish of 2:30.00.
Kate Ragone and
Abby Potticary ran fourth and fifth in the 1,500 meters. Ragone led with a time of 4:46.86, just in front of Potticary's 4:47.73.
Isabella Coleman was seventh in 4:56.31, while
Maeve Lowther and
Lily Angluin were also in the top-10 with eighth (5:00.04) and ninth (5:00.20) place finishes, respectively.
The Greyhounds' 4x400-meter relay team – Spinnler,
Stephanie Tracy, Jodlbauer and Malley – finished second in 3:58.60.
Taylor McHugh led a group of Loyola runners in the 200 meters as she finished 11
th in 26.71, while
Rhoda Miller was a place behind in 26.96.
Ava Dunn came in two spots behind Miller in 27.11, while
Eve Schoenberg was a place back in 15
th (27.21).
Megan McCusker ran 13.44 in the 100 meters to finish 15
th, and
Madelyn Ricard finished 16
th in 13.55.
Two Loyola men's cross country runners competed in the 800 meters where Evan Alander and Evan Skurat took eighth and ninth. Alander edged Skurat 2:00.59 to 2:00.70.
Dillon Harding led the men in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:04.77 to finish seventh, while Tyler Vega (4:06.88) was 12
th and Nathan Galloway (4:07.62) 13
th.
