ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Olivia Malley had the Loyola Univeristy Maryland women's track and field team's top individual finish at the Patriot League Championships on Saturday, finishing fifth in the 800 meters as the Greyhounds were seventh as a team in the 2002 meet.
 
Malley, Eve Schoenberg and Maeve Lowther were individual scorers for the Greyhounds while Loyola's 4x100- and 4x400-meter relay teams also scored.
 
Malley became the third-fastest woman in school history to run the 800, finishing in 2:12.92 in the rainy and wet conditions.
 
Lowther opened the day with a strong showing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing eighth with the sixth-best time in school history (11:18.39). Lily Angluin ran the 10^th-best time at Loyola (11:26.92) to finish 11^th, and Sammie Spargo was 15^th in 11:53.96.
 
Schoenberg also picked up a point for the Greyhounds with an eighth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles (66.04).
 
The Greyhounds finished seventh at the meet with 15 points, while Navy, Army West Point and Boston University made up the top three.
 
Loyola also got points in two relays on Saturday with the 4x100 group of Taylor McHugh, Ava Dunn, Stephanie Tracy and Jessica Boos finishing seventh in 50.15. McHugh, Malley, Carly Spinnler and Tracy were then seventh in the 4x400-meter relay (4:00.68).
 
Four Greyhounds raced in the 5,000 meters led by Abby Potticary (17:43.50) and Kate Ragone (17:43.82) who were 18^th and 19^th. Catie O'Hehir was 26^th in 18:04.33, and Isabella Coleman took 30^th (18:16.06).
