BALTIMORE – The 2022 Loyola University Maryland volleyball schedule will kick off on Friday, August 26, with the first of three weekend tournaments leading into Patriot League action.
 
The Greyhounds will play three games at the Penn State Classic during the season's opening weekend, starting with a match against Duquesne. Loyola will then take on West Virginia (also Friday) and the host Nittany Lions (Saturday) in its last two games in State College, Pennsylvania.
 
Loyola will play in Baltimore the following week, traveling within the city to Coppin State where it will face the Eagles on Tuesday, August 30.
 
Delaware State will host the Hornet Invitational Friday, September 2, and Saturday, September 3, where the Greyhounds will face Quinnipiac the first day and Hartford and Delaware State the second.
 
The season's final tournament will take the Greyhounds to Athens, Ohio, where they will play Bradley and Tennessee Tech on Friday, September 9, and host Ohio University on Saturday, September 19.
 
Conference action starts on Friday, September 16, when Loyola travels to Hamilton, New York, to play at Colgate.
 
The Greyhounds host the first of eight Patriot League matches on Friday, September 30, against Bucknell.
 
Loyola will look to qualify for the six-team Patriot League Championships that run Tuesday, November 15, through Sunday, November 20.
