Jamie Adams ran the 100 meters outdoors for the first time as a collegian on Friday, and she put her name atop the Loyola University Maryland record book in the event.

The freshman broke the school record in the 100, running a wind-legal time of 11.99 to become the first woman in school history to run a sub-12 second race. She eclipsed the previous best of 12.23 by Rachel Koller in 2021. Ada

After Adams finished eighth in the 100, she came back to finish fifth in the 200 meters, running 24.24 seconds. The time would have been a school record, but it came with a tailwind of 2.7 to make it wind-aided.

Lauryn Clarke also put her name onto the top times list at Loyola in the 100, crossing the line in 12.51 seconds, good for fifth all-time and 35
th overall on Friday. She is the third-fastest Loyola runner in the event after Adams and Koller.

Carly Spinnler finished 15
th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:19.80, while
Isabella Coleman (2:24.41) and
Amaya Cunningham (2:31.98) were 42
nd and 60
th, respectively.

Meghan Leonard took 33
rd in the 1,500 meters, running 4:53.79 to lead four Greyhounds in the event.
Lauren Riddle was two spots back in 4:53.96, while
Norah Affanato was 64

th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a finish of 12:02.68, and Kyle Maddalena was 22
