LEXINGTON, Ky. – Loyola University Maryland's volleyball team combined for a 3.76 grade-point average during the 2022-2023 academic year, earning the Team Academic Award from the USMC and the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
 
The Greyhounds combined for eight perfect 4.0 GPAs during the fall or spring semesters with Kacy Sekunda and Riley Hamilton posting them during both terms.
 
Overall, the team had GPAs of 3.749 and 3.770 in the fall and spring semesters, respectively.
 
The Greyhounds also earned the Team GPA Award for the entire athletic department at the 2022-2023 Iggy's for posting the highest cumulative GPA among the 18 teams.
