BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland's Lauren Link was named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team on Thursday, prior to the start of her senior season for the Greyhounds.
 
Link helped lead the Greyhounds to the Patriot League Semifinals a year ago when she led the conference in kills (406) and kills per set (4.56).
 
She earned All-Patriot League First Team recognition after finishing ninth in NCAA Division I in kills per set and sixth in attacks per set (12.75). She was second on the team with 259 digs for an average of 2.91 per set.
 
As a junior, Link played in, and started, all 24 matches for the Greyhounds and had eight or more kills in every outing. She had 10-plus in 22 contests and seven matches with 20 or more kills. She was also named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
 
She has 734 kills in 54 career matches and 194 sets, good for an average of 3.78 kills per set. Her 3.78 kills per set currently rank third in Loyola history.
 
Loyola was picked to finish sixth in the Patriot League by conference coaches. The Greyhounds will open the 2023 season at the Blue Hen Invitational where they will face host Delaware on Friday, August 25, with matches against Niagara and Robert Morris the following day.
