CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of North Carolina hit .361 on Saturday, and the Tar Heels deal the Loyola University Maryland volleyball team a 25-13, 25-21, 25-18 non-conference loss at Carmichael Arena.
The contest closed the Greyhounds' swing in North Carolina during which they lost to Duke in four, beat West Virginia in four and then lost to the Tar Heels.

- North Carolina's offense was red hot, hitting .579, and Loyola had just seven kills in the frame.
- Set Two
- The Tar Heels opened up a five-point lead, 13-8, but kills from Caitlin Churney, Lauren Link and Kennedy Stevens cut it to 15-14.
- North Carolina would then go on a 9-2 run to gain set-point at 24-16, but Loyola scored five in a row to draw within three.
- Set Three
- Churney put Loyola in front, 8-5, with a kill, but North Carolina scored six in a row and did not trail fo the remainder of the match.
