NORFOLK, Va. – The Loyola University Maryland men's tennis team opened the ITA Atlantic Regional on Thursday at Old Dominion University with six qualifying matches.
Harrison Lee of James Madison defeated
Nick Lawliss, 6-2, 6-4, and Navy's Jason Kim topped
Noah Castillo, 6-2, 7-5.
James Madison's Aurelien Schmitt beat
Harry Zeiders, 6-3, 6-1, and Georgetown's Akira Morgenstern was a 6-0, 6-2 winner against
Cristian Pemueller.
Two George Mason players also scored wins against the Greyhounds Jacco Arenda got past
George Cavo, 6-3, 7-6 (4), and Zavan Fahim beat
Ryan Boland, 6-3, 6-1.
The Greyhounds will continue at the event on Friday with consolation singles and main-draw doubles play.
