Berry Earns Korn Ferry Tour Status With Q-School Finish

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Loyola University Maryland alumnus Brandon Berry finished tied for 43rd at the final stage of the 2024 PGA Tour Q-School to earn Korn Ferry Tour status for the 2025 season.

The Korn Ferry Tour is the top developmental tour for the PGA Tour.

Berry, who earned his bachelor's degree in 2021 and M.B.A. the following year from Loyola, shot an even-par 70 at TPC Sawgrass's Dye's Valley Course on Sunday to wrap up the four-round tournament at 3-over 283, earning his status on the number.

The top five finishers at Q-School earned their 2025 PGA Tour cards, and the next 40 finishers – including Berry – earned Korn Ferry Tour exempt status through multiple reshuffles during the 2025 season.

Points are accumulated throughout the season based on finish by Korn Ferry Tour players with the top 30 players at the end of the season Tour Championship earning their PGA Tour cards for the following year.

Berry will be one of two Loyola graduates with Korn Ferry Tour status for 2025; his 2021 classmate Evan Brown tied for 109th at the final stage of Q-School and will have Korn Ferry Tour conditional status next year along with being exempt through the Latin America Swing of the 2025 PGA Tour Americas season.

Berry had the best season of his young professional career in 2024, beginning with his first Korn Ferry Tour start at the Astara Golf Championship presented by Mastercard in February.

He became the first Loyola graduate to qualify for a PGA Tour event when he made his way into the field at the Corales Puntacana Championship in April via a Monday Qualifier. Berry made the cut at that event in Puerto Rico and finished 65th.

The Northern Virginia native earned two more PGA starts through Monday Qualifiers, reaching the field at the Myrtle Beach Championship and then the full-field Rocket Mortgage Classic in late June.

Berry won the 2021 Patriot League Championship as a member of the Greyhounds and finished his Loyola career as the school's all-time leader in rounds of par or better (54), birdies (409) and eagles (22). He had a 72.8 average score that ranks third in school history and a 1.37 to-par score that is also third.
