Lauryn Clarke and
Nelly Cruz won events, and
Isabella Coleman ran the third-fastest 1,500 meters at Loyola in almost 20 years on Saturday as the Greyhounds competed at the Loyola-Johns Hopkins Invitational.

Coleman ran 4:34.98 to finish second in the 1,500, running the third-fastest time in school history and the best since May 2005 when Andrea Rovegno set the school record in 4:33.30. Rovegno holds the two fastest times in the event with Coleman being the second fastest woman at Loyola to run the 1,500.

Cruz was the fastest runner in the 100-meter hurdles on Saturday, clocking 14.81 seconds to become the second-fastest performer in school history in the event. Her time ranks fourth all-time at Loyola.

Loyola's 4x100-meter relay team ran its fastest time of the season and No. 2 time in school history as
Madelyn Ricard, Julia Baguaio, Clarke and Mazzeo finished in 47.80.

The Greyhounds' 4x400-meter relay – Baguaio,
Claire Dalsass, Coleman and Clarke – had its best time of the year, taking third in 4:02.72. Loyola's second entry –
Meghan Leonard,
Elizabeth Gallagher,
Ajia Morrison and
Kiera Udell was seventh in 4:11.61.

Clarke took top honors in the 100 meters, crusing to a victory in a wind-aided time of 11.68 seconds. Mazzeo was fourth in 12.44, and Ricard took 12
th in the event (12.75).

Clarke also finished second in the 200 meters with a wind-aided 24.38. She led nine Loyola runners in the event, followed by Mazzeo (8
th, 25.91) and Baguiao (10
th, 26.07) who finished in the top-10. Ricard took 12

Sammie Spargo logged a top-10 finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing sixth in 12:32.35.
Kasey Boag went 18:56.89 in the 5,000 meters to take 17
th. Five Greyhounds ran behind Coleman in the 1,500: Udell (22

Several members of the Loyola men's cross country ran in events on Saturday. Bryan Hickman led three Greyhounds in the 1,500, running 4:18.16 for 34
th. Dylan Jock took 38
th (4:25.65), and Evan Skurat was 41
st (4:31.35).

Camden Spring finished 13
th in the 5,000 meters (15:26.97), and Ailin Oberlies was 17
th (15:54.55). Dennis McNamara finished 22
nd (16:00.17), while Billy Malone was 23
rd (16:03.44) and Matt Bradley was 31
