FAIRFAX, Va. – Lauren Clarke and the Loyola University Maryland 4x100-meter relay team scored points on Sunday at the final day of the 2024 ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Clarke logged the Greyhounds' best-ever finish in a sprint event at the outdoor championships, taking second in the 100 meters.
Her finish of 11.79 seconds is the second-fastest in school history and gives her nine of the 10 fastest times ever at Loyola. She moved up from seventh to second after qualifying with a time of 11.91 on Saturday.
She ran in two more events on a busy Sunday afternoon, joining teammates
Madelyn Ricard,
Julia Baguiao and
Jane Mazzeo to finish fifth in the 4x100-meters. Clarke ran the third leg on a team that finished in 48.12 seconds, the sixth-best time in school history.
Clarke also had a scoring finish in the 200 meters, clocking 24.75 seconds to take sixth overall.
Loyola's 17 points were good for 18
th out of 38 teams at the meet.
