LEWISBURG, Pa. –
Lauryn Clarke set school sprinting records in the 100 and 200 meters on Friday, qualifying for Saturday finals at the Patriot League Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Clarke ran 11.77 seconds in the 100, taking a tenth of a second off her previous record (11.87) set earlier this season.
She came back later in the day to knock almost a second off the school best in the 200 meters, running 24.24 seconds. That time bested the record of classmate
Jamie Adams who ran 25.07 last season.
Clarke qualified for both finals with the fourth-fastest time in the 100 and fifth-best in the 200.
Isabella Coleman had another personal-best time in the 1,500 meters for the Greyhounds, running the third-fastest time in school history, 4:34.82, running 11 hundredths of a second faster than her time from April 20.
She qualified for Saturday's final with the No. 6 time in the preliminaries.
Loyola's 4x800-meter relay team –

Claire Dalsass,
Kiera Udell and
Isabella Coleman – turned in an eighth-place performance to score fro the Greyhounds. The team's time of 9:15.82 ranks seventh-best in school history.
Nelly Cruz finished 11
th in 100-meter hurdles qualifying, running 15.22 for the 10
th-fastest time in Loyola history.
Jane Mazzeo was 19
th in the 100 meters (12.35), while
Madelyn Ricard took 25
th (12.72).
Julia Baguiao finished 24
th in the 200 (25.99), just in front of Mazzeo (27
th, 26.40) and Ricard (28
th, 26.50).
Ajia Morrison was 16
th in the 400 meters, running 1:01.83, while
Caroline O'Connell took 18
th in 1:02.23. Udell finished 25
th in the 1,500 (4:56.09), and
Norah Affanato was 26
th (4:56.61).
