BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Loyola University Maryland's men's and women's cross country teams took to the course Friday at the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University, competing in the College Brown races.
In the men's 8,000-meter race,
Dennis McNamara led the Greyhounds with a 46th-place finish, clocking in at 25:33.8.
Mikey Byrnes followed in 74th place with a time of 25:44.7.
Drew Peters (26:34.9) and
Andrew Robinson (26:59.8) finished 162nd and 210th, respectively, while
Billy Malone (27:02.9),
Ailin Oberlies (27:04.8),
Christian Zawislack (27:16.8),
Nate Tibbetts (27:28.4), and
Logan Eagles (29:06.3) rounded out the Loyola contingent.
On the women's side,
Kayla Hayes paced the Greyhounds in the 6,000-meter race, placing 101st with a time of 22:40.4.
Norah Affanato crossed the line in 23:26.4 for 171st, followed by Abigail Arseneau (23:45.9),
Mackenzie Newman (24:06.4),
Meghan Leonard (24:30.8),
Selah Decatur (24:54.7),
Kiera Udell (25:12.8), and
Talia Banafato (25:45.2).
The Greyhounds will be back in action October 17 at the Panorama Farms Invitational in Charlottesville, Virginia.
