BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland cross country ran at the Patriot League Championships on Friday, with both the men's and women's teams placing 10th in the team standings.
Senior Mikey Byrnes (58th, 26:13.4) led the Greyhounds in the men's 8,000-meter race. He was followed by Andrew Robinson (70th, 26:38.8), Dennis McNamara (75th, 26:44.9), Drew Peters (81st, 26:57.3), and Nate Tibbetts (86th, 27:07.9) to complete the scoring five. Billy Malone (95th, 27:25.8), Christian Zawislack (97th, 27:34.4), Callaway Lipkin (100th, 27:39.7), Ailin Oberlies (102nd, 27:46.8), Will Lancaster (103rd, 27:55.3), Logan Eagles (105th, 28:12.8), and Matt Bradley (109th, 28:41.7) also competed.
In the women's 6,000-meter race, Kayla Hayes (48th, 22:17.6) paced Loyola. Norah Affanato (71st, 22:54.7), Mackenzie Newman (83rd, 23:32.0), Kiera Udell (87th, 23:38.7), and Abigail Arseneau (97th, 23:56.5) rounded out the scoring. Meghan Leonard (99th, 23:59.0), Selah Decatur (101st, 24:07.5), and Kat Zysk (109th, 24:50.5) also represented the Greyhounds.
Loyola will return to action on Friday, Nov. 14, at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships.
