BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland's men's and women's cross country teams concluded their seasons at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships, with the men's team placing 24th and the women's squad finishing 28th in competitive fields.
On the men's side,
Mikey Byrnes led the Greyhounds, taking 97th place in 31:48.6.
Dennis McNamara followed in 115th (32:11.7), with
Andrew Robinson (165th, 33:42.7),
Billy Malone (167th, 33:47.4),
Christian Zawislack (173rd, 34:09.1),
Drew Peters (177th, 34:27.4), and
Nate Tibbetts (184th, 34:50.0) rounding out Loyola's finishers.
Byrnes' time was the second-fastest in school 10,000-meter history, and McNamara's time ranks fourth-fastest.
For the women,
Kayla Hayes was the top performer, finishing 149th in 22:50.2.
Mackenzie Newman placed 173rd (23:22.3), followed by
Norah Affanato (183rd, 23:48.1), Abby Arseneau (186th, 23:59.8),
Meghan Leonard (193rd, 24:10.0), and
Selah Decatur (198th, 24:30.9).
