Bethlehem -- The Patriot League announced their weekly women's soccer player of the week awards on Monday afternoon, as Loyola University Maryland's
Francesca Khachatourians and
Zoe Willis were named Players of the Week.
This is Khachatourians first Offensive Player of the Week award, while this is Willis' second Defensive Player of the Week award in her career.
Khachatourians scored her first career goal on Sunday evening, as she connected on a pass from Willis, as she flicked the ball over the goalkeeper for the goal, that ended up being the game-winning goal, as Loyola beat Ivy League favorite Princeton, 2-1. Khachatourians played important minutes off the bench on the week, as she helped the Greyhounds to a 2-0 week.
Willis once against anchored the Loyola back line, as she played all 180 minutes on the week, helping Loyola allow just one goal over two games. Willis also recorded her first assist on the season, as her long ball into the box found Khachatourians for the game-winning goal.
