EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. – Loyola University Maryland men's golf was one of six teams to get through two rounds on the first day of the Hamptons Intercollegiate Monday at Maidstone Club.
The Greyhounds shot 2-over 290 in the opening round before the wind picked up for the second and Loyola finished with a 16-over 304.
Liam Moloney and
Zach Berger had the Greyhounds' two under-par rounds of the day Monday, both coming in the opening 18.
Moloney had six birdies in the morning and shot 3-under 69, and Berger had five birdies en route to a 1-under 71.
Eli Spaulding led the Greyhounds in the afternoon with a 1-over 73, while
Diego Neira shot 3-over 75.
The Greyhounds are tied for ninth with Harvard after 36 holes at 18-over, one shot in front of Duke.
